I am open to new accent walls.Not a huge fan of the orangey sunset colored walls, but not sure if I want the work of painting.... it is a rental and I do have permission to paint as long as it's not difficult to recover if/when I move.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

- A large silly blue dog painting from sundance catalog (3' x 4').
- A few small paintings/sketches I've acquired during my travels and deployments that I'd like to try and include somewhere and an antique map all of which have been stuck inside a trunk.
- two carved stacking trunks: if they don't work in the design and I can store them.
- A 42 inch flat screen tv.
- a full size (double) mattress that's 14 1/2" deep. Also have. 4.75" support box and frame that don't necessarily need to be ultilized.

Minimal interior with character and coziness I think is what I'm going for.
I am a serial bachelorette who has been forever a nomad/gypsy for most her life and now wanting to create a space that I can call home...even if it is still a rental. I'd like my place to reflect who I am. I live my life in duality, bursts of intensity and hustle, followed by moments of quiet and solitude. Love city life, but need quietude of nature more so. Eclectic/modern vs refined/rustic and moody. Anthropologie meets Scandinavian simplicity and the boldness and masculinity of Restoration Hardware. Not sure how to combine all these wonderful styles.... I want it to be warm, inviting, functional, curious and unique. Old and new, expensive and bargain, simple and clean, yet lived in character. This may not make any sense.... and I've searched dozens and dozens of ideas and so far my most favorite design is this apartment in London. I feel it combines them very well. A lot to ask for in an online consult, but perhaps a good start.

Since your room is smaller using a bright white will enhance the light and the space in your room.

For your main color, I chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious, and this one will look beautiful with the rich color schemes and natural materials we have chosen for your space!

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish.
