We bought this house a few months ago and are using furniture from our prior home which we intend to completely replace. We spend the most time in this room, which is adjacent to our kitchen (seen in the background in photo).
We are interested in adding built-in cabinetry on either side of the fireplace and replacing the fireplace mantel. We would like to hang a Samsung Frame TV somewhere in the room (maybe part of a gallery wall or over the fireplace). We would like seating for up 8-10 people when we entertain and it’s important that the seating is not too low, which makes it difficult for our parents (in their 80’s) to easily get get up on their own when they visit. Although our dog doesn’t shed, pet friendly fabric is appreciated. We have unframed art we could contribute to the room and would like to layer in decor over time as we find pieces we like. We are open to a mix of new and vintage pieces.
