Want to remove the old bar, paint over the wood paneling, and remove the orange carpet and tiles.

I'm not overly concerned about the furnishings. I'm moving into this small space with my family temporarily. I have existing furniture that I will be using: king size bed, gray sofa, 2 book shelves to store our belongings, and a desk (see attached pictures). And I would just like the room to have a good overall look when empty, so that people can move into a nice space when we are no longer using it.

For the bar area, I would still like it to function as a separate space for eating. I need to keep the freezer in the area, and would like to keep a sink and a place to put a microwave. A shelving area or cabinets would be nice, to store food and other items. And maybe a type of island, to sit and eat. I'm having a hard time imagining a nice space for this, and this is the area where I'd like the most help.

Unfortunately the piano has to stay in the room.

I would like help picking a paint color and flooring. It can all be one flooring, and I can remove both the carpet and tile. Whatever you think is best.
