I just bought a condo and I don't have very much furniture yet. My condo is a timber loft with exposed brick. It is a 100 year old building. I would like my furnishings to be very modern to contrast the historic structure.

I would like the rooms to look different from each other while still feeling connected somehow. For example, I probably would want my living room/dining room combo to look modern and elegant, the office (which would be partially visible from the living room) could have an art deco feel, the den/guest room (very visible from the living/dining room) could look bright and contemporary, and the bedroom could look glam.

The lighting is horrible. There is not enough ambient lighting. Even though I have all these east-facing, big windows, much of the sunlight is getting blocked by other buildings.
There is some track lighting in the living room, and a light fixture above the dining table. The ceiling fan in the living room does not have a light. (I don't want the ceiling fan anyways.)

The office is the very first room that people entering the condo will see as it is directly across from the front door, so it is important to look striking but also be clean and minimalist.
The office is also partly visible from the living room, so it probably makes sense to coordinate the look a bit. or at least they shouldn't clash with each other.

I am undecided about this room. I would like to see some drastically different mood boards so that I can explore options.
Either I want this to be a second bedroom, or I want it to be a loungy den that out-of-town guests can stay in for the weekend. In either case, I want this room to look comfortable and not formal.

When guests are not occupying the room, I would like the doors to be open, so the design of this room should ideally look very different yet coordinated with the rest of the living room.

The brick wall in the back wall is fake. It is some type of stick-on that is on dry-wall. I actually quite like it, however I am also open to other suggestions.

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
