The most important aspect of this design is to create a desk space where I can write and do my makeup. I also need storage for books, minor art supplies and some yoga and exercise equipment. I like my bedroom to feel relaxing, peaceful and creative. I love a mix of neutrals, jewel tones, black and gold. I love a mix of modern and organic materials. I enjoy lots of texture and luxe fabric. I would love to keep the green accent wall if possible. I am open to painting the entire room this color or leaving it as an accent. I definitely want a new rug, dresser, side tables and bedside lighting. I would love help with a more cohesive and artistic design to make this room come alive, feel more fresh and beautiful.

-Plants (can keep current ruby rubber tree or swap with large monstera in attached photo)
-I love books and displaying them on a shelf like the one attached could be fun! (don't currently own this)
-White linen sheets and duvet cover (new and would like to continue to use if possible)
-Curtain rods + can also re-use curtains though willing to replace if there is a better option
-Gold mirrors (floor & wall) can be re-used or not
-Bench can be re-used or not

-I love the plants and like to have at least one large plant in each room but the monstera does take up a lot of floor space. If there is not enough room in the design for it then I can put it in another room and replace it with something that fits.
-We have the blue and grey geometric rug that could be a good fit for this room (see attached photo)
-Curtains can be re-used or replaced but I would like to re-use the rod if possible

This room will be for a newborn baby boy! I really love Scandinavian style nurseries. I love how they are both calming and fun/quirky at the same time. I checked that I want to room to lean more neutral but masculine and feminine feminine elements are both fine. My daughter's room has a wall mural of the mountains and it would be fun to do something similar (but different) for baby brother. We will also need a comfortable rocking chair or glider for this room as well.

Using lighter colors in your medium-sized room will make it feel more airy and bright
For your main color, we chose to use black because it is authoritative, sophisticated, and powerful. It is a good neutral counterpart to any other color. Black is best used in small doses as an accent and can help to give depth to a room as well as make a dramatic statement.
Use an eggshell finish paint that has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than a matte finish
Use a satin finish paint which has a bit more gloss than an eggshell finish and is a little smoother. This finish is often used for windows, doors, trim, and ceilings, but can also be ideal walls in kids’ rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas because it is easier to clean than an eggshell finish.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use a matte finish paint because it will be helpful in camouflaging those surface imperfections such as bumps and cracks as it does not reflect light. Just be careful because matte finish is more difficult to clean. You may also need to touch up scratches or marks by adding more of the same paint in the future.
