Neil's Modern White Living Room Design

We have bought a 1940 house. We are extending the house and doing major renovation and looking to make the interiors contemporary.
The living room is existing but has some structural changes as per the new floor plan.

- We need contemporary looking furniture.
- We have a old style fireplace that we want to keep but re-design the fireplace - may be use stone wall but not required.
- We do not want lamp, we would prefer recessed lights and/or chandelier.
- We need one chaise lounge chair that is very rich (see one sample picture). It may not be modern/contemporary but we would prefer if you could design something to go with rest of the decor.
- We need something unique in the room - it could be the chaise chair, chandelier, fireplace design, artwork - see some ideas for how we define unique.

Some notes about us and family - We live in Baltimore, born in India late 30s with 2 young boys (10 and 4). We maintain a casual life style, some partying but not a lot.
