For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use a satin finish paint which has a bit more gloss than eggshell finish and is a little smoother. This finish is often used for windows, doors, trim, and ceilings, but can also be ideal walls in kids’ rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and other high-traffic areas because it is easier to clean than eggshell finish.

It's dated so just feels very 90s. Also the floor covering is a good inch higher than the floor in the adjoining closet and the bedroom which is a nuisance. I would like the toilet nook/alcove to have a door (like a pocket door). The shower is too small and the tub wasn't functional. We just demo'ed the shower and tub due to a leak and are addressing that now and we're we're planning to do a full gut of the space. We are also removing the popcorn ceiling and considering bumping the wall to the left of the shower back into the closet (which opens off the primary bath to the left of the shower) to allow for a shower big enough for two -- looking for some guidance on whether we should do that.

We want the bathroom to be a light and airy relaxing space that is timeless with romantic/European/old world touches and will ultimately flow seamlessly into the design of the primary bedroom which I want to be a relaxing and peaceful natural-feeling retreat.
One of my favorite things about the bathroom is all the natural light from a corner window where you can look into the trees as you shower or bathe and a big skylight. The ceiling is pitched and very high at its highest point. There are some awkward ledges around where the walls meet the ceiling that I would love to either get rid of or thoughtfully incorporate into the design somehow.
The architectural style of the house is a transitional brick facade with composite siding, a brick & concrete porch with a wood railing across the front. I would describe our personal style as cozy mid-century or mid-century-inspired transitional. For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use a satin finish paint which has a bit more gloss than eggshell finish and is a little smoother. This finish is often used for windows, doors, trim, and ceilings, but can also be ideal walls in kids’ rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and other high-traffic areas because it is easier to clean than eggshell finish.
