Did interior design always interest you?
The idea that interiors are part of architecture has always been interesting to me. However, I did not always imagine that I would deal with it. I enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture and realized that I have the potential to design. I tried it and realized this is what I want to do and what I want to progress in.
How would you define your design style?
Style is a customizable thing. I would describe my style as modern, contemporary, but I also think I can fit into any other, depending on the client’s needs. My design leaves an expressive impression on the viewer because I always try to make it unique.

Who or what influences your work?
In my experience, I have realized how vital it is to take in as much information as possible before starting a project. So I am so happy to use my sketches to see what I should do. Of course, I like to research, read and expand my knowledge through books, magazines, and blogs about architecture and space design.
What’s a must-have item you make sure your interior designs include?
I must have my personal stamp on every interior I design – that something that will make my design stand out. Each space requires a different treatment. This is why it’s crucial to dedicate yourself to it and find the best use. My designs must meet all functional and aesthetic requirements. With the right colors and furniture shapes, any space can be attractive.
What is a recent design trend that you love at the moment?
I adore minimalism and modern style, earthy tones, neutral colors, and a space that exudes freshness and purity. I like accentuated details, like the specific shape of the furniture or unusual art. Modern style is the direction that describes me best, and I do well in it.
If you had to pick a favorite room in your home, which would it be and why?
It would be a living room where the whole family spends time together and enjoys board games and movies. The comfort of a space not only depends on furniture but also on the people you live with and good energy. I wouldn’t even eliminate the study. It’s a space where I come up with the best ideas and where I feel good because I love my job.
What is your favorite design magazine or blog and why?
I like to read a lot, stay informed, and work on myself. Magazines I follow include Arhitekta, Hausbau, and ASA. Through them, I can learn about the views of famous present-day architects and various professional people. Topics are mainly about buildings, their facades, interiors, materials used, and functional solutions. Interestingly, I always learn something new that I can apply to my work.
What is the best thing about being an online interior designer and decorator?
I love my job very much because I can always express my creativity in the space I’m designing. Inspirations and ideas come every day and at different times. A lot can be said about the designer through their design. But it’s also about the people for whom that space is intended.
The good thing is there is no monotony in this business. Each interior and every client have different needs and styles.
What was your first big project and what was your favorite part?
My first big project was as a volunteer. That’s where I took my first steps as a cafe interior designer. I had the help of colleagues but did a lot of the work myself. I’m very proud of the work I did back then, but I’ve progressed and am satisfied with my current skill.
My favorite part of that project was the 3D visualization as well as the creation of a functional solution for that space. I was a beginner and wanted to do it as well as possible. I learned a lot then and I still apply the knowledge gained today.
How do you manage challenges that come up during a design project?
In addition to quality design, it’s vital to have patience through project design. Sometimes situations don’t go the way I imagined, but I successfully cope with the challenges and continue where I left off.
Every new project is a challenge as it carries a part that needs to be solved. I approach problems calmly because everyone has their solution. But it’s important to set aside time and dedicate ourselves to it.
Why do you like virtual interior design?
Online design allows me to work from home and spend more time with my family. I choose my working hours and adjust to my obligations. Good ideas aren’t bound to time, they come with inspiration. That’s why it’s good to have a working space at home.
I like to transfer ideas to paper and sketch to help me further elaborate the concept. Communication with clients is also great as I always have access to it. I can never forget anything as everything is always written down.
